Overall One of the differentiate attributes of the Arsakeia-Tositseia Schools is the function of the Epopteia, an exceptional and unique service of the educational data in Greece, not only when it was constituted but even today. Epopteia has a broad spectrum of administrative and executive capacities so as to supervise and assess the educational work accomplished in the Arsakeia-Tositseia Schools. We should take into consideration that about 9.000 students study in the Schools of Filekpaideftiki Etaireia around Greece (Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Ioannina, and Tirana). All the Schools are dictated by the same operating principles and provide homogenous education and culture. That laborious coordinating duty has been assumed, accomplished and fulfilled by the Epopteia of the Schools with great success. The structure of the Epopteia Head of the Epopteia is the Superintendent entrusted with the duty of the Superior Adviser assisted by three Deputy Advisers, one responsible for the primary education and two for the secondary education. Moreover there are Coordinators specialized in: Greek, Mathematics, Physics, Foreign Languages(English, French and German) and Physical Education. The Coordinators are responsible for the educational process in each school grade (pre-primary, primary, middle and high school) as well as the teaching procedures of all subjects. Since July 4, 2008 Vassiliki Papapetrou, classical philologist, with significant service, experience and contribution to the Arsakeia Schools, is the Head of the Epopteia (Superintendent). In conclusion, the institution of the Epopteia in the Arsakeia-Tositseia Schools is valuable not only for the smooth operation of the schools but also determining for the achievement of the high standard educational objectives. The Superintendent in collaboration with the Deputy Advisers and the Coordinators are striving daily to achieve the high educational standards of Filekpaideftiki Etaireia. |
